After being a Red Sox fan for 56 years I've become realistic about the difficulty of ending in first place.
I dont really care about first as long as the team plays well and ends up ahead of the 'Evil Yankee Empire'.
The Rays story this year has been great. If they were to end up first I'd feel good about it and root
for them in the post season (as long as they weren't playing the Sox).
