I'll just leave it at I'm pleased J.D. is doing so

The comments were not out of line with respect to the degree of anger.
They were out of line for someone who says that they are a loyal Red
Sox fan, to demean a player and every member of the team that
supported him. If it were up to you, JD Drew would not even be playing
for the team since you clearly said that there was no reason to
support playing him. You were ready to throw him under the bus. Of
course now that he is doing well, you have jumped on the Drew
bandwagon.

Curly threw the Sox under the bus when they fell down to TEE 0-3 in
the 2004 ALCS. Then he jumped back on when they won. Fair weather
fandom and all that.

The hardest time to support players in when they are in a slump. And
yet that is when they need the support, the most, from fans and their
teammates. They don't need demeaning comments to be made. And that is
all that I have been saying over and over and over again since posting
to this newsgroup.

Of course that comment was the reverse jinx that JD Drew needed. No
sooner did you make that comment did JD start hitting and he has not
stopped. From September 6, 2007 until now JD has been batting over
340. So maybe we all should thank you for that comment. NOT!

It was
out of character for me and likely was caused by someone other than
Drew.

It was caused by you and you alone. You need to learn to take
responsibility for your comments.

If you think there is anything even close to resembling a
reason for supporting JD Drew much less continuing to play
him then you really are a brain dead, mentally retarded
stupid idiot.
