I've always thought that a pitcher not wanting to share the spotlight with
another ace was utterly stupid. If you want to have the best team possible,
wouldn't you WANT to have other ace calibre pitchers in the rotation
with you?
It just seems to me that this prima donna attitude that there's only room
enough for one ace in a rotation is truly idiotic since no starter can pitch
every game.
And probably a fan creation. Never heard it from a pitcher. We heard
this stuff from FANS about Pedro not being 2d fiddle to Schilling
(double bad joke). But all made up stuff. I'm sure Santana would be
happy to be a teammate of Beckett and will be happy to be a teammate
of Pedro and was happy to be a teammate of Francisco Liriano. As you
indicated, why not?
