A couple weeks? What season were you watching? More like a couple
months, and he was even better in the post season. And as for your 'sure
thing' comment, nothing else is a sure thing either.


Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it just the first couple weeks that

very hot and then generally down from there ?
In any case - a couple weeks - a couple months - the jury is still out.
Believe me - I'm hoping for the best - but I'm also a realist and have
seen
guys have hot starts and fade from sight before.


It was really the whole month of September...plus the post-season. Combined
with a consistantly improving minor league career, there is nothing to
indicate this fellow is a flash in the pan. Which is why teams like the
Twins are so damned determined to try to acquire him.

I shouldn't have to do this, but you're being so dense I will anyway...

September- 97 ABs, .390 OBP, .536 SLG, .361 AVG, .927 OPS
October (postseason)- 25 ABs (should have had more),.429 OBP, .520 SLG, .360
AVG, 949 OPS.
All during the greatest pressure you can face.

Minor League Career - .389 OBP, .425 SLG, .313 AVG, 814 OPS

Realist? Open your eyes. I'm so sick of hearing this crap.
