I'll go you one better. Here in Maine, some stores will not sell alcohol
to 21+ y/o members of our Armed Services if all they can show is a
military ID. Absolutely shameful...
I believe that changed in the 80s. Most still will NOT sell to under
21s even with a military ID and I found that back in 79/80 in states
where the legal drinking age was 21.
