Just wondering what will happen to Coco in 2008... Ellsbury will be in

Its a dilemma.....He's a great outfielder who did not show up at the
plate...
I keep him for the short money he's making. If you look at the time
missed with Manny and Drew and obvious platoons for all 3, I can't see
a better 4th OF/defensive replacement/pinch runner option and he could
realistically grab 300-400 AB's anyway. I'd say unless he creates a
distaction over role it's a no brainer.
Yeah, if he doeasn't create too much of a hassle over becoming the fourth
OF I'd love to see them keep him. There is also the chance that
Ellsbury, as hot as he was this year, could see an extended slump. It'll
be nice to have Coco around just in case.
fair to a player in his prime, with his talent. They traded lesser
players (like Dave Roberts) not just to keep them happy, but to show other
players in the game, that they can expect to be treated fairly. The Twins
will be in the market as well. If they can leverage him, with other
talent, to get Santana, they must try. I'm not in the camp that would
give up Buchholz however. I hate to even say it, but Lester's stock just
rose considerably. Wouldn't you at least consider Coco and Lester (perhaps
a low prospect) for Santana? Might not even get it done...but it would
certainly be worthy of consideration.
I agree, I'm just pointing out that if he didn't mind that role he'd be a
good guy to have around.
