Oh, I definitely could see someone thinking he does. I have a daughter who makes him sound laconic, so I'm well used to it. I just like the guy. I've heard him talk conversationally many times...on the pre and postgame shows, as well as on the radio. I find him relaxed and easy going...generally a good guy. I was just teasing the new guy, 'Bama boy. Hope he has a sense of humor.

Surprised you didn't also note the funny accent. Hillbilly boy. :-)
Not to rag on CAA, but maybe his "speaking too fast" is more a
matter of regional speech differences. I've never found Caron
to be speaking too fast myself, but I could see how if you're
used to slower speech patterns that Caron could seem to speak
"too fast".
