Too smart for your own good there, doc. OceanView clearly MEANT to say
"Francoma", quotes and all. By removing the quotes and adding "[sic]"
to it you turned the meaning around 180 degrees. In a word, you infer
that OV will *not* jump on the "Francoma bandwagon" (as he clearly
indicated he might) and "bash" the manager. mm'k?
mm 'no k.
I realize that you think that removing the quotes and adding "sic"
alters the meaning of what he said. I am well aware that OV MEANT to
say "Francoma". That is EXACTLY why I used "sic" following that
bastardized name.
I used "sic" to reflect that I *deliberately* misspelled the name of
the manager to reflect what OV called him. That is, after all, how
"sic" is used.
OV said that he planned (and not "might" as you implied above) to jump
on the bash Francoma [sic] bandwagon if Dice-K did not miss his next
start. I just reminded him to be sure to jump on it BEFORE Dice-K
makes his first pitch of that game. And since OV should have plenty of
advanced notice of Dice-K not missing his next start, it should not be
a problem for him to post, in this newsgroup, his intention to jump on
the bandwagon *ahead* of Dice-K's performance.
Btw, I *did* infer that he would likely wait until the outcome of the
performance before jumping on the bandwagon, just like SimpleDon waits
until after the results of the decision to criticize the manager as he
did today when he gave Tito a minus for leaving Dice-K in too long.
Hope that makes my comment clear.

Using fancy 50 dollar words is nothing more than a tactic used by the
intellectually deficiant [sic] to try to impress those around them.
