Yankees trading Roger Clemens?

An article was published by ESPN stating that the Yankees would need Roger Clemens' permission to be traded. If the Yankees are way out of it and Roger Clemens demands a trade, would the Yankees even consider trading Clemens to the Red Sox? I would think that the pride of the Yankees would get in the way of trading Clemens, especially to the Red Sox, but if the Yankees are so far out of it, perhaps it would make sense to trade Clemens to SOMEBODY for SOMETHING as to not pay for all of that large contract.
