Of course that early you wouldn't know you needed a slugfest. Which is
probably a good reason not to intentionally try to manufacture runs that
early. And I realize intent is not clear either time.

Oh I completely agree. In fact, had they not manufactured those runs,
they would have not scored them at all. I wouldn't change anything
they did in those innings. It is unfortunate that they didn't help,
but the Indians are a good team, we did play a great series against
them.
