One of the oldest tricks in the books !!!

I see there's already a thread concerning this but it's already grown
pretty long and I want my take, which may be different than what's
there, unpolluted by anything. First what ARod did sounds pretty bush
league to me. It may be among the oldest tricks in the book but it
doesn't sound "big league" to me. There sure is a pattern forming with
him with things like this. Also, the smirk on his face right after the
play was typical and a big part of what's so unlikable about him. Most
interesting was the interview after where he basically said he did it
because they are desperate. My biggest thought on this however is that
the real bush leaguers in this are the two dummies that fell for it. By
it's "oldest trick" nature there seems to me to be little excuse for
falling for it.
