An unarguable assessment.

I continue to think the Red Sox catching could be among the worst
overall catching duos in the majors. This spring Varitek is hitting .
107 and Mirabelli is at .125. Annointed future catcher Kottaras went
0-12 in the major league camp. He may be good eventually or he may
not, but the team shouldn't sacrifice 2007 if Varitek is through. Deal
for someone like Carlos Ruiz, dump Mirabelli and hope Varitek is at
least average. If not I would much rather be giving time to Ruiz than
Mirabelli.
