Foulke did it and the rest is history. He was brilliant and I hope he

I agree, it's sad. I just found out. As he said, he never really liked
baseball, it was just a means to an end, so I hope he find what he does like.
I do think Foulke enjoyed pitching, even if there was a lot about the
sport itself he found boring. I'm sure he's one of those players
who'd never watch baseball as a spectator, but when he was on the
mound, healthy, battling opponents without the blazing fastball a
typical closer has, he may have been pretty happy. He sure looked
that way after Renteria's grounder and Clark's strikeout in 2004! :-)
