Re: OT Persons of Interest

Dano venit, vidit, et dixit:

<snip>

Had you heard her speak of late? I mean this quite literally, she was
showing real signs of permanent brain damage.

I'm not sure we ever saw her when she wasn't high on some sort
of self-medication, which makes it difficult to tell when
the permanence of the damage starts. If she'd ever gotten
sober, would she have been less muddle-headed in her speech?
Dunno -- her temporary befuddlement due to drug-use (I'm guessing
here) seemed to be constant enough to be permanent.

She probably belonged
in a hospital of some sort. Also, the personal issues she was going
through were seriously disturbing. If ever there were proof that
money can't buy happiness, there it was. This poor soul was
surrounded by vultures.

It wouldn't surprise me if she probably had happiness issues long
before her recent setbacks (talk to enough girls who were strippers
and I think you'll see a pattern). The money she earned as a
stripper, model, trophy wife, actress, etc. probably just provided
money, not comfort, which she used to try to escape how she likely
felt about herself (again, my guess, but I think a plausible one).

Great. Now I have "Richard Cory" stuck in my head...

Catch you later.
