Lets try this again, my apologies for the previous message's' please discard them.

One of your problems is Griffin that you are posting messages saying you have struck out on tickets when many still exist and it is very easy to get through to buy them right now. My friend had one browser open between 3-6 pm and was able to score four tickets to the saturday night Angels game in August and then four tickets to the friday night White Sox game in July. Yes, using one browser, he was also able to get in prior to that but due to his computer conking out his missed his first opportunity.

To what seats? I am only interested in Loge or Pavilion seating. The thing was, I was in very early in the process. I got the "Sorry" message and then was booted shortly after, not to get through for the rest of the day. I am not even going to bother now. I will try my luck in the Green Monster and RF Roof Table Raffles, the latter of which I was successful.

Is the virtual waiting room a piss poor system? Absolutely. But give the Boston Red Sox credit they have set up a system where you can only buy 8 tickets thus people like myself who had no luck between 9-11 am were still able to get tickets to the games I wanted to see (Giants and Braves) at between 3-6 pm. And for those older folks who aren't internet savvy? The Red Sox also had their touch tone phone system open for buying tickets today as well and lets not forget in a month or so the Boston Red Sox ticket office at Fenway Park will be open selling tickets to all games for the 2007 season. The Red Sox also with hold a certain number of tickets that they release the week of the game for all games even Yankees games and opening day even though they are a small amount of tickets and very hard to come by.

The phone hotline is useless. I dialed and was greeted by silence. I also am not interested in camping outside of Fenway waiting for the ticket offices to open. I'll watch them on TV.

Do I like the new Red Sox ticketing system? No. Prior to this new ownership taking over I was able to get three to four Yankees games a season at face value and now I am lucky to be able to get one. Having said that the old ownership was known for dealing with scalpers and selling large quatities of tickets to scalpers as the Boston Herald documented a few years ago. All in all I can complain about the system because I don't think it's right that it isn't first come first serve but at the same time can I complain when myself and my friend were able to get tickets to the four games that I really wanted to see on the schedule outside of opening day, Patriots day, and Yankee games? Considering we have one of the most popular teams in the world and one of the smallest ball parks in the country I can't complain and considering all of us still have a chance to see the games we want to see at face value I don't think you can complain either.

There needs to be a better way to get tickets. Not everybody can get into the games. Everybody has a chance to get into any game. Getting tickets is NOT a problem for ANYBODY. It's the price one has to pay for the tickets on places like EBay and ticket brokers.

There simply HAS to be a better way to get tickets online. One should not have to try and manipulate the system to get tickets. It should be fair to all.
