for this year. That would have sucked, no? I mean after all these
injuries, Theo would have had to bring in 4 to 6 solid everyday players
to even get the team back to even strength.

Yeah, that's total 20/20 hindsight, but since you jackass Theo bashers
use nothing but that to make your cases, ***, I may as well in this
instance, too.

Think this post is silly?

How about all the goddama posts concerning The Great Josh Bard, The
Great Freddie Sanchez, The Great fill-in-the-blank. *** you if you
wanna tell me those guys were supposed to be the Next Coming and you
knew it. If so, Google it and post it here.

Theo and Co. have done a TREMENDOUS job with this team - better than
any front office has in, hell, my lifetime at least, and I was born in
the 70s.

Just because Crisp had one of the worst years of his career this year -
how is that Theo's fault? Any fucking theroms or other such stathead
*** out there to show that one coming? No.

Just because Beckett had an ERA about 1 run higher than it should have
been and led the league in homers allowed, how is that Theo's fault?
If Bill James didn't see it coming, YOU sure as hell didn't!

In fact, the lone issue I have with ANY of Theo's move that he hasn't
corrected once he realized he made them in error (closer by committee,
Rent-a-wreck, etc.) is keeping Clement here long after it seems he's
not cut out for Boston. Then again, who were the best pitchers on the
market that year - Pavano and Clement. How's Carl working out for the
Janks. And don't even get me started on "they should have resigned
Pedro!" His show had become tired here, his ERA in the AL would be
about 4 (good, but not worth the cake he got) AND, not all of his money
went to Clement, as some Gnorkasses here would like you to believe.

So, lighten up kids - things broke wrong on many fronts this year. And
that's not Theo's fault - that's baseball.

Impressive! Good work, not silly at all.
