If Theo can pull this off, it'd be a nice trade. Kottaras is a nice
prospect.
Yeah, right. He is hitting .233 with 2 HRs in AAA. Wow. How about sending
Bard back?
How about dealing him to the Cards for reserve OFer Larry Rodriguez who has
a lifetime BA in the majors of .300 and could add depth to the team? Or is
Theo insistent on adding to his collection of stiffs?
He's young though. As Dave posted the quick scouting report, he did
well the first time through the AA and that's the crucial firebreak for
me. I think he'll be a better catcher than Bard in the long run.
Kottaras is a smallish guy so I can't figure out what his ceiling might
be in terms of power (although I saw him turn on Homer Bailey and Phil
Hughes) but look at his numbers. He's already demonstrated his
patience and in two AB's, it looks like he has good plate coverage as
well I just never thought Bard was any more than an ok backup catcher
and his numbers this year were surprising. Cla Meredith on the other
hand...
Okay, thanks, we will see what happens if they get him. RHB are hitting
about .100 off Meredith. How did that happen?
