Well, no, I have plenty of better things to do. I just did this
instead. When I'm curious about something or when I think I remember
something, I tend to look it up to confirm whether or not I'm
remembering correctly.
That said, I'm pretty sure that 2004 isn't three years ago. I'm
also sure that I only posted from the one post. I briefly glanced at
more of yours, to be true, but they jibed with my memory of them: you've
been reading doom and gloom in the tea leaves for years. You're the
Manny Ramirez in that sense, plugging along while other more heralded
neg nells get the recognition that might rightfully belong to you.

Well, I hope you notice that I didn't actually say anything
especially bad about your post(s), nor did I suggest you stop posting
here, so I'm not sure why you feel the need to suggest I leave. It IS
an unmoderated newsgroup, so you're free to be as negative here as you
want as often as you want. I'm sorry that you think I contribute
nothing but hot air, however. Oh well, diff'rent strokes for diff'rent
folks, I guess. (Alternately, do you have any suggestions of things I
could post about so as to provide more substance and less hot air?)
Actually since you think the team is dead why don't you leave?
Honestly, that tends always to be my thought in regards to people
who are so consistently negative about the team and its chances. If
it's that painful, it's okay to break off the relationship, really.
It's fun to wear the badge of long-suffering fan, but really, if you're
not having fun, why do it? There are lots of other fun things to do
with one's time than simply follow a sports team that makes you
miserable. (Not that it necessarily makes Ron A miserable or more
miserable or whatever, but if it did, you understand).
There's
some deep rooted emotional problem in continuing to follow a team you
think is finished don't you think? And BTW, Bob-Nob adds more to this
group with his name alone than you will with your next 1000 posts.
*laughs* Well, I'm not sure that's true, but I thank you for
the compliment anyway.
