prospect (well comical for you guys) is Bernie will back up Sheff in

I can't imagine it will last. (Or if he does play out there with
any regularity -- if Sheffield becomes part of the DH rotation with
Williams and Giambi -- then I'm sure it'll only happen with, say
groundball pitchers on the mound). Any ball hit to the right side of
the outfield will allow runners to advance, what with Damon and Williams
out there. And if Cano/Giambi have as little range as some people seem
to think, that's going to be a lot of balls scooting through into the
outfield.... (Personally, I tend to think Cano's better than some people
give him credit, though my understanding is that the top defensive
metrics are mixed on him).
