i did. supposedly it's nonpartisan. i don't actually know anything
about it either, but that's not the point. the point is that the
RNC cited it as their source for the claim that john kerry was
'the most liberal member of the senate, even to the left of ted
kennedy', without mentioning that this was based on the results
from just one year, 2003, when he was out campaigning and didn't even
vote often enough to qualify for a score in 2 of the 3 categories. and
they just stated it like that - 'the most liberal member of the senate',
no 'in 2003' or anything at the end - which leaves the impression that
it's just generally the case. when over his career, according to the
same source, he was neither the most liberal in the senate nor to the
left of ted kennedy. i was just wondering if that seemed like an honest
use of statistics to you.
