Hello ASP,

Sorry to intrude on your day !!

Summer is here and it seems that this week at least will be a scorcher. My
daughter is off for a three week flute boot camp jaunt in preparation for
music school college auditions next year. My son is home and between music
gigs he's trying to find a part-time job. I hope all of you and your
families are well and comfortable.

I just finished a bag that I have wanted to make for some time. It's
designed after the American frontiersman "possibles" bag. I carried one
hunting for years and I just told my wife that I'll own one of these for
myself; high praise indeed !!

It has no handle as it is made to be slung over your shoulder or across the
chest "bandolero" style. It's 12.5 inches long by 9 inches high. It has a
pocket under the flap. The gusset is 5 inches so it will open and fill to
about 4.5 inches. There are four pipe pockets inside, each will hold 2
normal to large sized pipes in their socks when placed bowl to stem. The
rest of the bag is unlined. There is no hand stitching in the bag.

Now the good part (I think), the bag is $285 which is pretty cheap for one
of my bags. I found this skin in the shop under some other skins "put away
till later" and decided it would be pretty perfect for this bag. It is. I'll
have three in a day or so as two others have already been cut. I'll only be
able to make them when the right skins show up but I love the design so I'll
be looking. I will do everything I can to keep the price of these bags low
but this will be entirely dependant  upon the price of the leather I use so
it will fluctuate somewhat.

If you want the bag customized I will gladly discuss it but changes will
raise the price accordingly.

There are currently three of these available. Two have dark brown pipe
pockets and one has dark tan pipe pockets.

You can see them on this page along with a selection of other bags that are
currently available.

Thanks for the update Neil. Your bags will probably be around for a
looong, loooong, time. They are so well constructed. Anyone
purchasing one of your products is getting a long lasting heirloom.
