Re: Saturday Morning Pipe

Morning ASP'ers,
It's partly cloudy and 68 in Maryland, with rain expected later
this afternoon. I am at the local B & M this morning and just enjoyed
some Pipeworks & Wilke #10 in a Peterson Mark Twain. As the weather
gets warmer I tend to lay down English blends and move to VA and
Burleys, but #10 is the exception to the rule. It is a mild to medium
Balkan with 4 different Orientals. When I first started cellaring
tobacco last summer, #10 was one of the first to go into a mason jar,
and I now have a little more than a pound of the stuff. It will be
interesting to crack a jar open this summer and see how it has aged in
a year's time. Greg Pease says that Orientals tend to peak at 12-24
months so I am excited and have a feeling that the next year will
bring many good smokes of #10. Anyway, enough of my rambling. I have
moved onto a cigar, currently enjoying an Arturo Fuente. I will
probably head back to the home front in a bit to get cleaned up for a
barbecue that I am going to later. Hope everyone is having a great
relaxing weekend filled with good pipes!
