I think "freehand" is sort of a bad term, because it sounds like it's
implying that the pipe was made by hand. I guess freehand just means
that it doesn't fall into any particular traditional shape category.
Usually a freehand is a big horkin' thing with plateaux still on the
top. Others will have to provide links. Hopefully someone will.
