I'm a big fan of astraweb.com. $25 gets you 180GB of downloads with
no expiry date. What this means is that if you only use text groups,
you will have a lifetime subscription for $25.
I do a lot of downloading through this account, and so it costs me
closer to about $50/year.
I think Newsguy will suit my needs. I like web based usenet and they do provide
that along with all of the bells and whistles of a newsreader.
And you are absolutely free to make that choice. Was just giving you
a reliable option that's a bit less expensive overall.
Of course, you couldn't pay me to use a web interface... ;-)
