My current goto blend is Walnut which recently displaced Carter Hall.
I've got both heavily cellared so they will hold that place for a
while. McC's 2015 and my own blend of McC 5100/5105 would be my two
other primary smokes.
A concoction I have the Briar Shoppe in Houston make up for me. Two
parts of their own Detective's Blend (a mix of Virginias with a hint
of Perique) to one part Vanilla Maple (a stnadard blend from
someone). A very pleasant smoke, with the Virginias I love, plus a
nice room note (keeps the wife happier). With only the rare foray
into other blends, I've stuck with this for about four years.
