Beijing Update Addendum

Should have thought of this before committing to helping these guys acquire ASP Zippos...do any of you have any objection to them having duplicates of past years models of our lighters?

Reason I ask is that I've run the Zippo project as a kind of collector's item creation deal. Except for the "Traditionals" that we don't do any more, each year's lighters are unique and don't get done again. Now these guys want to order the past four years versions. I could understand any true collector getting ticked off about that.

They're thinking of buying 25 each of the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 ASP Zippos, then beyond that, they're talking about coming up with their own custom designs. They even are asking if Zippo would make lighters out of rose gold instead of brass, chrome and etc.

Really the only reasons I was immediately willing to have those four years worth of lighters re done for them are that it's a one shot deal and better yet, they'd all be mailed to one address and I can have Zippo take care of the whole packing and shipping endeavor!!! Actually, another factor is that it's a case of a bunch of pipe smokers contacting another bunch of pipe smokers. Pretty cool.

So anyway, feel free to hit me with any input about this whole thing. They're "club" lighters and if the club doesn't think they should be spread around like this, I'll desist.
