Here it's my now standard morning cigar with organic Salvadoran dark roast,
today a Diamond Crown Maximus after 2 disappointing Cubans were put aside. At
least I now have my source for cigar leaf! The band on the Diamond Crown has to
be one of the prettiest printing jobs ever put on a cigar!! A fine smoke as
well.
Now about to close up the apartment as the temps head for the mid-90s. "But it's
a DRY heat!"
We're going to be in the 90's all week and there ain't nothing dry about it.
Have a good one people.

BTW, what was the problem with the Cuban's?
Overly tight construction, which I encountered with a lot of the sticks that I
got from there (well, not directly, but you get the picture). In part, it's what
made it a lot easier to sell off 99% of them.
I figured that might be the problem. Quality control in the past, particularly in the early 2000's, was horrible and is still iffy though considerably better since the Cubans began using draw testers. Also, I find Cuban cigars to be less problematic when stored at a lower RH, something around 63-65% RH.
