If such ramblings do not appeal to you might I suggest that you do
what any normal and mature person would do, move on to something
else.  Myself I like such stories of everyday miracles.

Also I was trying to showcase  a few of the natural wonders of the
Columbia River Gorge.  It is the route that Lewis and Clark and the
Corps Of Discovery took on their way to the Pacific Ocean and returned
by. Had they had the internet I'm sure they would have posted stories
of their adventures which you could read or ignore.

I also mentioned OK Bayou which is an English blend that used both
Cyprian and Syrian latakia as well as perique.  It was blended by an
individual that had the touch but sadly faded away.  The blends were
available through Jack's Tobacco as well as the blender.  The demise
of Syrian latakia in the US ended the production of this blend but I
was fortunate to put some away when Ihad the chance.  He also created
Acadian Coast, a burley, virginia, perique blend that was also very
good.  Had I known these blends would disappear I would have put more
away.

By the way the young dog is doing very well.  She blended right in and
is a typical Boston, with attitude.  She joins the rest in guarding my
cellar,

Yesterday we went to pick up our new dog Terri, now Abby.  She is ten
months old and is the oldest dog we have brought into our herd.  Her
previous owner is having health problems and was looking for homes for
her Boston's.  Instead of black and white she is brown and white.  We
met the owner's daughter in Cascade Locks.  The geology of the Gorge
is quite different from farther downriver and we did see Multnomah
Falls on the way.  When I asked my wife where we could meet there she
said "there is only a store and gas station there".  She had been
there so I told the other party we would meet at the store and gas
station.  It is a much bigger place than that so when we got there we
called and finalized the meeting place.  After seeing how she would do
with the other girls we left and crossed Bridge Of The Gods, lowest
point on Pacific Crest Trail, and headed for our son and daughter-in-
law's place.  After a scenic tour due to my wifes uncanny sense of
direction we arrived.  Owen works at the Little White Salmon fish
Hatchery and lives in the employee housing.  It is a big and nice
house with plenty of yard.  He waters the grass but it is cut by
someone else.  We visited for a while, got a tour of the hatchery,
then went into Stevenson to eat dinner.  It is a lot hotter over there
than here in Astoria and was 82-84 degrees.

On the way back we met some people that were interested in the last
puppy, the little boy, and they were happy to take him home.  Her
daughter wanted to take Herbie too and she walked and carried him all
around.  Upon leaving there we had a small squabble amongst Abby and
the rest of the bunch but it was soon ended.  So far that is the only
disagreement.

We got home a little after dark and Abby got to meet the dogs we left
home, Bleu, Misty, Sky, and Doc, who is visiting until next Tuesday.
Doc wanted to play the most so she obliged.  She jumped right into bed
with us and all the others and fell right in with the rest.

Not a lot of smoking during the drive but I did get in three bowls of
OK Bayou in a Nachwaster.

Thank you for sharing what a wonderful day y'all had. It is a blessing
to get a new puppy and it sounds as if you had a blessed day.

I hope you keep us all informed on how the little pup is doing and
your daily excursions out into the world. I always find it so
interesting as to how people venture into the world of realism and
then feel the urge to have to tell all on there internet world of
reality about what the did ... but an internet connection is far far
cheaper than a shrink.

Its not only bad enough to read it on this forum but to have to read
it on every other pipe forum that we both belong to is just a
shame ... hell ya didn't even change anything just cut and pasted it
to each forum and aint gotten any responses on those either, oh wait
you did get 1 lone response that I saw this morning.

I especially like how after 2 days you got exactly no response at all
other than mine ... kind of shows just how interested most were in
your blabbering ramblings. Now of course there will be numerous people
who will post and tell me how wrong I am but that is now expected
since there are so many who like to follow up whatever I say just to
disagree and disparage what ever I say. Just look above at Chuck and
Urine ... see what I mean?
