Much as I respect the president, I don't agree with him on quite a few

do my best to make my own small contributions to our nation.
We've already seen how he does. Every sentence has the word "I" in it.
He takes tax money paid by the working middle class and gives it to
the very rich and the self-inflicted poor. He meddles in what ought to
be private sector issues. He's thrown the only democracy in the Middle
East under the bus. He's stood by impotently while a tin pot dictator
in N. Korea makes a fool of him. He's committed to more debt in 180
days than his predecessor did in 8 years. The military as a group
Give proper credit where it's due. He's committed to more debt in 180

some real talent... ;-)
can't stand him, but can't say so out loud. Investors don't want to
part with their cash because they've seen how he trashed 200 years of
contract law violating the preferred paper holders at Chrysler and GM.
Not to mention a "bailout" that cost us 44 Billion dollars. What was
the result? They both still filed bankruptcy, like they should have
in the beginning, at no cost to taxpayers.
He's jammed outrageous taxes down the Eeeeeeeevil Tobacco Industry
(tm).
To be fair, most of the evil in this Bill was written in by Phillip
Morris in a legal attempt to crush any and all competition.
A good many people who smoked Hopeium with him during the election now
have buyer's remorse. One can only hope that he too will be relegated
to the dustbin of failed political ideas like his ideological forebear
- Peanut Boy Carter - in only four years. Let us hope this is so. Let
us also hope that he does not leave us the Carter legacy of
stagflation, and 17% mortgage rates.
I have hope that he'll come around a little once he sees how bad he's
furthering the destruction of the economy. At worst, perhaps there'll
be enough Republicans elected in '10 to at least throw a wrench in the
works. I prefer government that can't get anything done at all to one
that gets to do whatever the hell it wants.
