Good afternoon Ed, ASP. Had a great time in Columbus yesterday.
Stopped by to see the good folks at Smoker's Haven. Had a nice pipe
chat with Premel and Bill and left with two 8oz cans of GLP Montgomery
from 3/'05 and a drop dead gorgeous blast bent dublin w/ ivory that
Bill created. The pipe is a stunner and shows off his teriffic blast,
stem and finish work. Premel had some exquisite estates that he'll
soon be ebay-ing. I was tempted to spend my next several pay checks !
After that bonanza my friend and I went to the Clapton/Winwood
concert. He scored excellent seats. The band was outfreakin'standing !
The highlights were 16 blistering minutes of Hendrix' Voodoo Chile, an
acoustic Can't Find My Way Home and a powerful Mr. Fantasy encore. If
you are a fan of these two ....be sure to check out the double live
Madison Square Garden CD that was recently released. The DVD is great,
too. Anyway....it's 2 1/2 hours home from there and I got about 5
hours sleep before I had to get up and get to work this AM. Home now
and enjoying a bowl of W.O. Larsen Old Belt in a Sara Eltang bent
blast cutty/egg. I feel a nap coming on.....
Kim
