Good evening M'lords and M'Ladies. I'm starting a four day weekend and
it came none too soon !
My new Northern Briars rusticated canadian w/silver band arrived from
Maxim at Pipes2Smoke today while I was at work. Now inaugurating it
with a bowl of Peterson Sherlock Holmes. Nice big pipe and seems to
smoke great [as my other NB's do]. I'll use it for ribbon Va's.
Drinking some cranberry juice between my martini and an '03 Hirsch
Gaisberg Austrian riesling that I've chilled. What are you smoking and
drinking this fine evening ?
I've got Star of the East in a Savinelli basket Canadian/Lovat
with a bent bit. Gunpowder Green tea w/2 slices of lemon
floating in it. Watching the perfect movie to go along with
pipe and tea. Passage to India w/Alec Guiness playing an Indian!
Got my son's rehearsal tomorrow for his nuptulations on Sun.
Got the rehearsal dinner,grilled steaks,burgers,dogs,baked
beans,Cole and Vinagrette slaw,watermelon fruit basket,beer
wine, lemon cookies, cheese cake and pound cake. Then my eldest
& I are going to take him out and get him drunk. Being diabetic I'll
be the designated driver with my gut full of O Douls or Kaliber
or whatever non-alcoholic beer is available.
Evening greets all. Now 56 but pleasant in Western NY. Recently back
from last track meet of the season (for me), was '05 BS-005 in old
Nording freehand to & from the school where the meet was held.
Only one boy, no girls from my team is advancing to the State
Championships next week in Syracuse. I won't be able to afford to
drive up on my own & stay overnite for the 2nd day. Off to the chats
