Given the nororious ill-treatment all Wal-Mart "associates" enjoy it
is a good thing you left when you did. If you want to read about
another person's experiences in the slave labour market read "Nickel
and Dimed" by Barbara Erhenreich - at one point she was paying $49 per
day for the privilege of working there! I'm not sure if they prevent
pregnant women from sitting down or taking toilet breaks like at some
superstores in Germany but the conditions of work tat Wal-Mart are
pretty bad - not as bad as the conditions in which the 11 year old
Vietnamese girls live who make the goods that arrive on Wal Mart's
shelves, granted, but still pretty bad. I hope you find something
soon, all the best

I've never, ever heard of anyone being forced to work at Wal Mart. You really
stretch when you put Wal Mart and overseas, third world country slave labor
in the same paragraph Seeming to imply they are one and the same. I've been
"behind the scenes" at many Wal Marts in the course of investigations. In
general, the employees seems very happy and in general, happier than in
Targets,K-marts and those stores. retail is a tough business. Not for
everyone. Of course, if we shut down Wal Mart, third world slave labor would
be wiped from the planet.....right?
Incidentally. I don't often shop at Wal Mart. I prefer smaller stores where
I can run in and get out.

PS. The original post was a JOKE! It didn't really happen. For those who
didn't read that part.
