Not sure if this helps or not, but I found this post in the archives from about a year ago.

with Prudential for Term Life Insurance and they gave me preferred rates
after I told them I was a pipe smoker.
From what I can find out, they are the only company that will do this.

Not sure if Prudential offers health insurance, but it may be worth checking out.
BTW, if anyone does know of smoker-friendly health insurance, please post. I am currently without health insurance.
