Re: Ladies pipes?

Damn, you guys are a friendly bunch!

Please excuse my long delay in responding, but it's been a long week,
starting with an inauguration and in my case, ending with the funeral of
"The Eagle Lady" here in Alaska. And I'm leaving for New Orleans in a
few days and my cows are starting to calve. =:-O I never trust a hired
man to care about my cows like I do, so I spend every trip worrying.
(It's an important business trip, or I wouldn't go.)

Several of you have offered to send pipes for me to try. I'll email you
back when I come up for air. (I can't believe you guys are that nice.
Geeze, what a treat to find real people here on the Series of Tubes.)

So, listen -- there's a tobacco shop in NOLA, in the French Quarter.
Opinions anyone? Are there other shops I should know about besides
Payless?

I got my darling little "lady's Italian apple" from ebay the other day.
The old man smoked up all of my good 'baccy when he ran out of Top today
and I don't want to put any Bugler or Top in this pipe. I'll wait until
I get some decent tobacco. I'll bring it to NOLA with me and get the
guys in the tobacco shop to show me how to pack it correctly and stuff.

(I bought a little lady's pipe for the same reason I bought a pink sock
hat the other day -- the old man won't run off with 'em. When I bought
the pink hat and he saw the color, he said, "Well, damn, I can't wear
that color!" I just smiled at him. He's trashed all of my hats by
wearing them and getting Cat grease and cow snot on them for the last 15
years and it's getting old.)

I saw reference to "a horsehoe nail" somewhere. Is that a figurative
term for a tool that they sell? I have actual horseshoe nails out in the
tack shed. Can I use one for a tamping tool? Yes, I'm that dumb.
