i bought a half pound of 2" roofing nails explicitly for pipe tamping. :)

and I've got hundreds of them. ;) the pistol cases are also good with a
short piece of dowel stuck in them. They will polish up like gold and
look great.

P.S.
How do you like the .220 swift Ackley Improved? I know it leaves my
22-250 in the dust, but how is it holding up? I've been thinking about
getting one to play with.

Czech tool, tee, all fine--but what about a 2" roofing nail? Works in
a pinch. Have to admit the cartridges are cool. I have a neighbor
who "reloads"--I'll have to ask him for a spare.
