Same here, Dave. .223, .308, 22-250, 30-06, these all work pretty good,
and I've got hundreds of them. ;) the pistol cases are also good with a
short piece of dowel stuck in them. They will polish up like gold and
look great.

P.S.
How do you like the .220 swift Ackley Improved? I know it leaves my
22-250 in the dust, but how is it holding up? I've been thinking about
getting one to play with.
Charles
It's a hot caliber. It's uniformly considered somewhat overbore and
is poo-pooed by some as it results in less than ten percent increase
in velocity. I think they quibble over a mere one or two percent.
That's quite a bit considering the ,220 Swift factory stuff is over
4,000 fps.But I like it. I shoot it through a 26 inch heavy .920
barrel, and once the barrel heats up, it needs to cool down between
shots. It's very accurate and fun to shoot but you need to establish a
routine shooting it in order to maintain a uniform barell temp. No
sign of throat erosion yet. You know there are two versions right? The
RCBS version with the 25 degree shoulder, and the originat P.O. Ackley
with the 45 degree shoulder? I have the latter. My .223's made by
Fulton Armory. Actually it has the Wylde chamber and handles either
the .223 Remington or the 5.56 NATO. The .308 is the Fulton Armory
TITAN. Actually, I ordered the lower from them two weeks back. I'll
get the upper for it next month. (Hedging my bets when Obama gets
elected and moves to have these types of rifles banned.) Not
inexpensive but they function like a finely made Swiss watch. Honest.
