A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a

Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of

That means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon!
Makes you proud to be an American!

Or maybe those numbers are wrong.  Let's see...

22 gallons per year divided by 52 weeks = .423 gallons per week.  128
ounces per gallon times .423 gallons per week = 54 ounces per week.  54
ounces of alcohol per week?  Whoa!  That's better than 7.5 shots per
day!  Maybe they mean 22 gallons of "alcoholic beverages" which are
mostly water.  Either that or somebody's been drinking a hell-of-a-lot
of booze, 'cause I sure ain't been holding up my end!  ;-)

I'm guessing they mean alcoholic beverages.  That would make much more
sense.  Don't worry about holding up your end, Tim, I've got you
covered.  ;-)

Thank God!  ;-)

Hmmmm - 7.5 shots a day. I average about 6 an evening unless I get
agitated or am partying in SE Asia then I make it over 7.5. Used to
drink more but I'm getting old. Can't drink less - it would insult my
ancestors.
