Another illustrative example of how a society's values degenerate when
virtue is abandoned in favor of self-esteem. The surrender of personal
responsibility inevitably leads to a condition where every Bad Thing is

allowed to file such a lawsuit. I don't care what 'social science' has
to say about it, gambling is no more an addiction than foolishness is a
disease. Bah! :-(
I suppose you think ADHD children should be soundly thrashed each day
when they misbehave?
Not a bit. That distortion is entirely of your own creation.
That the mentally ill should 'get over it'?
The inability to walk away from the gaming tables before one's losses exceed one's assets is *not* a mental illness. It's rank stupidity, nothing more. To assert that such stupidity is some sort of mental disorder is to assert that the whole human race is mentally disordered because people *will* often act stupidly. By trying to blame the casinos for her own stupidity, that woman is being dishonest. It's one of the identifying traits of socialism to institutionalize such dishonesty, claiming that since people can't control themselves, they need 'help' which must perforce come from the state.
A frontal lobotomy every now and then coupled with some cupping to get
the humours back in balance?
Generally speaking, I don't think adults should be treated like children, or children like adults. It's obvious that *you* do, however. The idea that adults are childlike and incapable of making decision for themselves is another of the identifying traits of socialism. You clearly enjoy thinking that everyone is a 'victim' - of "evil corporations," "evil fascist governments," evil this, evil that - ho-hum. By creating this class of 'victims' you relieve yourselves of the responsibilities associated with being adults. What *I* note, however, is that in surrendering personal responsibility, one must also surrender one's liberty.
Your out-and-out bigotry never ceases to
amaze. At least you're loud and proud though, I suppose that's
something
This twaddle from a guy who thinks Islamic terrorists are perfectly justified in murdering Israelis!
Poseur *and* idiot? <shrug> I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. :-/
