My first Flake tobacco.

I've just opened a tin of Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake but I'm
not sure how to proceed. The best I can describe this tobacco is thin
strips or ribbons with a waxy texture. What is the proper/preferred
way to prepare this for the pipe? It smells wonderful!
Are all "Flake" tobaccos like this?
