O.T. Computer Question(Hotmail)

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 Pentium IV with XP home edition and am
connected to the internet via DSL. Everything seems to be running
normally however when I tried to access Hotmail via the MSN icon it
prompts me with the following error message:
The e-mail address or password is incorrect. Please retype the e-mail
address and password, or sign up if you haven't already done so. Need
help signing in?
and asks for my password which it never does. I usually just right
click the MSN iconand it takes right into my Hotmail account. The MSN
icon is fine as is everything else.
The only thing I can think of is that there was an Adobe pop up that
wanted me to update, which I denied. Could this be the problem and if
so how do I remedy this? I don't want to have to login each and every
time I go to Hotmail.
I've typed in the password and clicked the remember name and password
box and it lets me in but this keeps coming up every time since
yesterday. It should remember it since I clicked the box to do so.
I've also tried re-starting the computer but it keeps giving me this
error when trying to access my Hotmail account. Suggestions? I would
appreciate any advice you may have.
Thanks
Robert
