Thanks everyone for making the last event so enjoyable. It was a
thrill to TD the tournament for everyone. I pray that you all have at
least one good Curl in the event and that you take away some memorable
moments. All one needs to do to win is either have the most number of
first place finishes (Curls) or be the person with the lowest average
on the Leader Board which will be updated the following day after each
Curl event. Be sure to look for it to see how you are doing.

Everyone is welcome in the event to smoke along with those who
purchased a curling pipe. If you would like a curling pipe from Glenn
Tinsky please contact me. The price of the Curling pipe is $75 dollars
and around $5 dollars for shipping.

A smoker can submit multiple smokes to the competition as long as it
is before the cutoff time.

There is no weighing of tobacco, instead it is done by pipe chamber
dimensions with the standard Glenn Tinsky Pipe. I repeat that you do
not have to have a Tinksy to be in the competition just have a pipe
with the following dimensions.

chamber diameter: 3/4 inch
chamber depth: 1 1/2 inches

Pipe must be filled to the top.

one charring light, one tamp and one relight to get the pipe good and
lit...with a zippo, butane or anything. smoke till the smoke ends. No
relights once the pipe has been tamped and lit. tamping is allowed
blowing through the bit is allowed to clear condensation or to keep
the tobacco lit.

Please remember that this Curl is for Virginia blends (Flake and
Cake) is allowed on this Curl!!!!!.

anyone regardless if they ordered a pipe can still post to this
thread for the competition and the times smoked will be honored.

Tuesday, Virginia 12 midnight est (9 pacific) for 24 hours
Wednesday, Burley 12 midnight est (9 pacific) for 24 hours
Thursday, English 12 midnight est (9 pacific) for 24 hours
Friday, Flake 12 midnight est (9 pacific) for 24 hours
Saturday, Aromatic 12 midnight est (9 pacific) for 24 hours

Please post your Virginia blend smoking times on this thread.

Good morning fellow competitors. A rather drippy day this AM. 43:56 in
a Ser Jacopo, .75 x 1.5 size. Constant sizzles from the pipe due to
the showers. Don't know if it helped or hurt my time. At 98% humidity,
I suspect the mixture was picking up additional moisture as I walked.
Good luck to you all! I may give this another shot in my Barling after
work - I'll stay on the porch however. :-)
