Very OT: Traffic/Speeding

Yesterday when I took my brother to the airport in San Diego, I
couldn't believe how much traffic there was and how fast everyone was
driving! This was at 4am in the morning, and I was doing a steady
70-75mph and yet nearly everyone else was doing 80-90+! Also there was
one guy in particular that was literally on my bumper for a good
couple of minutes until he then swerved and accelerated at what must
have been at least 90mph maybe more. I was brought up in S. California
and the freeway systems but it's gotten way out of hand. The traffic
here is horrendus partly because they haven't used the slated funds to
build more freeways and partly because were inundated with illegals
who have no right to be in this country let alone drive a car.
Also, just before leaving I stopped at the gas station to fill up and
was nearly hit by some young punk kid speeding through the station as
a shortcut and was followed by another kid speeding in a car. Let me
add that there were little kids in the station as well and they could
have easily hit.
It's like that everytime I drive now and I just wonder what has gotten
into people these days? Where are the cops?!@! Seems they would have a
field day if they only did their jobs instead of sitting at the local
donut stand or in one particular location waiting all day to catch
someone. Sheesh
