That is kinda the point, though, Buck. Usenet is anarchy. There are no
rules, and no prisoners are taken. People that are ultra sensitive to
criticism are, of course, welcome, but there can be no pity for them when
they are beaten up. It is what it is.
ASP is a bit on the mild side for usenet (especially an alt. group), but
it still sits in that same anarchistic frontier.

And Joe, that is exactly my point. You can pull up just about any
usenet group only to find chaos. Some groups that I used to read have
deteriorated into a shouting match by political extremists of every
stripe. I'm simply suggesting that ASP regulars excercise greater
judgement in the interest of maintaining group decorum. Do we want
over half the threads to be fighting and cross posting? Eventually,
without a bit of restraint, that is what will result. I know that some
relish that kind of environment. I prefer the "Relax, smoke a pipe"
type environment. There is no reason to conform to what usenet has
been historically, we are better than that.
