AD/ANN: New Hedegaard, Ashton, Todd Johnson, Dunhill, and many more at The Piperack!

Hello, ASP!

Please go to http://www.thepiperack.com/whatsnew.cfm to be taken to this
week's Latest Pipe Arrivals.

This week at The Piperack, we're really crankin' up the heat with pieces
from makes like Ashton, J. Craen, Genod Algerians, Peter Hedegaard and many
more. From Ashton pipes, there's a selection of five great pieces, including
a MAMMOTH ELX Gilt Edge and a fantastic 3X Old Church with silverwork. I
would pit my Ashtons against any Dunhill any day. They're great pipes, and
if you don't own one, you need to. There are three more J. Craen Handmades
from St. Claude, the birthplace of briar pipes. Jacques Craen - a third
generation carver and the man behind Genod - is also an amazingly talented
artisan, producing around 300 exquisite handmade pieces each year. In
addition, we have a few more Genod 1950 Algerians in all three grades. We
have also added three great Peter Hedegaard sandblasts, and a Willmer Extra
Grain from the 1970s, still unsmoked!

The "Piperack Pick" this week in estates goes to the Todd Johnson bamboo
blast. Todd Johnson is a remarkable pipe carver, currently residing in
Charleston, South Carolina. His pieces represent some of the finest work
coming out of the U.S. today, displaying graceful lines, perfect
construction, imaginative designs and just sheer overall perfection all the
way around. This particular piece is a sweet little variation on Todd's
"Caracas" design. It features a soft crosscut blast in a dark red stain, a
very small chamber, three-knuckle bamboo shank and handcut Brindle stem.
Check it out! Also from the USA, there's a superb Randy Wiley "Ovation"
grade with grain to die for! From England, there's a pre-Republic "Made In
Ireland" Peterson, a couple great Dunhills (including an ODA Tanshell
Panel!) and a massive Charatan Free Hand Relief, as well as many others.
The Italians contribute a near-mint Ascorti-Radice Caminetto full-bent, and
a pair of extremely nice Savinelli Autographs, while from Denmark and
Germany there are pipes from Rainer Barbi, Harcourt, W.O. Larsen and many
more.

Don't miss the pre-transition Barling's Make EXEXEL Quaint, or the Ashton
Pebble Grain Churchwarden! Next update comes July 7th, and you won't want
to miss it!
