This is very unfortunate. I have read Frank Dunn's letter to Rich and I feel that there was no need to be so harsh. As Rich stated in his reply, the Dunn Family, Frank in particular, never got back to Rich on a final answer regarding Rich's request to borrow Tom's binder; the unfinished work, with the intent of preparing a memorial issue for we coterians. Had Frank Dunn gotten back to Rich expressing the family's intentions that there be no such issue, then there would never have been such a letter needed.

I believe that Frank has missed the good intention of Rich, in representing all of us coterians, in wanting to extend closure to all coterians who could not have said any final farewells to our beloved Tom. I think it would have been an excellent idea. I am so sorry that this issue has intruded upon Tom's legacy. Rich, it was an excellent idea and I wish it could have come to fruition. You did not deserve that letter.

All that said, let's just remember Tom Dunn and his legacy as, Rich put it, "...the greatest journal ever, The Pipe Smoker's Ephemeris"
