Tyrolean Pipes, a few questions...

Do any of you folks smoke a Tyrolean pipe on a regular basis? My
brother is traveling to Vienna and thinking he could get me one.

I have seen them made in porcelain and briar. Which material is more
traditional? Do Tyrolean pipes require a special kind of tobacco?
