OT: What a drag it is getting old...

Last week my doctor and I played a silly game involving (among other things) a rubber glove, KY jelly, his finger, and my fundament. Based on what he found there (no, it _wasn't_ my head!) and the results of a blood test, I'm going in Wednesday afternoon for a biopsy.

Enlarged prostate, elevated PSA levels, something that may or may not be cancer.

His finger was uncomfortable enough, but now we get to do it all over again with a large needle.

What I've been able to Google in regards to prostate biopsies isn't encouraging. Seems most doctors do the procedure without anesthetics; there's no way I'm gonna let somebody poke around my taint with a needle without they give me drugs first!
