The native Americans were right.
Since I was born in Ohio, I am a native American. I guess that makes me right.
If you were referring to the *original* native Americans, you probably meant to say that they were bloodthirsty terrorists, because they were. They routinely practiced ritual torture and human sacrifice. They also kept slaves. They raped and murdered whole settlements, including women and children, and generally behaved like butchers. They acted like that long before the first white man ever set foot in the Western Hemisphere. However, the European settlers who arrived on these shores weren't morally superior, and eventually stooped to using similar tactics against the natives. You see, there are no innocent parties in that debate and never were, and none of it is at all relevant to today's "illegal immigration" fracas.

It's also worth noting that murder/torture/rape/slavery have been part
of pretty much *every* recorded civilization. And, yes, Europeans
indulged in these actions in the early going. But what is almost *never*
said is that it was (almost) uniquely Western culture that *ended* these
institutionalized practices. The intellectual foundations upon which the
West was built made the demise of oppression more-or-less inevitable.
For instance, the slaving of Africans was begun in Africa as the outcome
of tribal wars. And Western Europeans joined the "fun" - but only for a
while (several hundred years - a very short timespan in the overall
history of mankind generally and Europe in particular). Country by
country, Western nations abolished slavery. But where can you still buy
African slaves? In *Africa* - a place that has never wholly embraced
Western ideals about much of anything. The point is that while the PC
Do-Gooders foam on and on about how Eeeeeeeevil the US has been, they
sort of ignore the larger history about who did more evil, for a much
longer time, and in some cases, where it continues.
It is pathetic to listen to some self-anointed savior of mankind go on
and on about the "sins" of the US from a hundred years ago. But somehow,
*today's* butchers - like Iran, Iraq, Cuba, Mongolia, China, Yemen,
Saudi Arabia, Syria, Korea, Somalia, Mauretania, et al - get a complete
pass. Our saviors haven't a bad thing to say about them. If you don't
think so, listen to your average Leftie commentator on geopolitics
and count how many times they bash US action or policy and compare it
to how often, say, Mauretania (a haven for slavery with black Africans
as sellers and slaves, and Arab Muslims as buyers) gets a mention.
