I'm planning on using one for pipe tobacco and the other for long term
cigar storage, mostly in boxes.

I think I want to use a Cigar Oasis humidifier in both and I'm just
wondering if anyone here has one and how well does it work? Is it
worth the investment?

I just picked up a 300 cigar humidor sold by Tampa Humidor and it is a
great humidor. It's the one that has two drawers at the bottom that
they call the Westminister. I didn't want anything with glass. I did a
good bit of research on this buy despite only being $96 as I'm picky
about what I put my cigars in. I found your Footlocker Humidor in a
local shop, the identical box, and it was priced in excess of the $329
that the ad indicates, something closer to $425. They told me that
they could give me a good deal! But, I got to look over the quality
and it is very, very nice, so I felt confident in ordering the
Westminister. There were a few very minor spots on the (very nice)
finish which makes me suspect that these might be scratch and dent
pieces. But, seeing what I have that wouldn't disturb me a bit.
Everything is right about these humidors and they close and seal
beautifully. I have used the humdifiers that were enclosed and the box
was up and running in no time. The Oasis is nice, from what I hear,
but it does take up room, but then again you will have plenty of room.
Tampa Humidor's service and shipping was outstanding. For $96 I feel
like I stole my humidor.

As to putting pipe tobacco in a humidor, I suppose that you could,
although I never have felt the need. Just don't mix cigars with pipe
tobacco. The pipe box will then be dedicated to that use probably
forever.
