here?" So now we got no clue where that kamikaze bird is, I can't find it

try and catch a bird? They really move baby. Suggestions?
Ok, this was freakin' Hilarious!!! ROFLMAO...
Oh man. <sides hurt>
Needed that tonight... damn grading and work...
Ok, here's the deal... when you find the bird... hopefully it's somewhere you can turn the lights way way down low (no, not for that silly...), get some work-gloves on, and perhaps a towel... when the lights are down, birds just can't see crap. They shut up and stay as quiet as possible ['cause they're food in the dark...] and attempt to be unnoticed on headboards, or trees... whichever is available...
So, the way I see it... is get the awesome dogs away from where the bird is, so you can work without distraction.. see mr. birdy... turn off lights... put on gloves... grab towel... put towel and gloves right around the bird... be sure to cover his head so he can't see out. When he can't see he won't really freak as much. When this is done, you should be able to get him out the door and release him without harm done. If he's stupid enough to try it again, I say point the dog his way. ;) It'll help make smarter birds on average anyway. ;) Oh, but if he's willing to sit on your headboard and enjoy your nice home, perhaps we don't want smarter birds... maybe best to release him. ;)
Reminds me of the birds that used to come down the chimney into our family room... whenever our cocker spaniel got wind of one he went freakin crazy... never did catch one, but it was all hell breaking loose... We once grabbed a feather from the yard to show him... he sat there and sniffed that feather almost to the point it went up his nostrils... there was a sort of dazed look in his eye and the feather just kept sniffing.. and sniffing.... We laughed our a$$es off for a month over that one... :) We should have made him a bird-dog. :)
:^) Keep us posted!! :)

ps- the work-gloves are to try and save your hands from pecks... [just be glad it's not a ticked off Mackaw!! :)]
